DJ Shadow, and Sufjan Stevens will join Friendly Fires for headline shows at The Dome at this year's The Great Escape.

DJ Shadow
Last year DJ Shadow debuted a new show that re-imagined the potential of live visuals, bringing the video backdrop front of stage in three dimensions with the Shadowsphere. One of hip hop's true trailblazers is bringing this live experience to Brighton's Dome for one night only on Thursday 12th May as part of The Great Escape, co promoted with the Brighton Festival.

Detroit lo-fi alt-folk act Sufjan Stevens will make a rare headlining appearance at The Dome on Saturday 14th May – again a co-promotion with The Brighton Festival. Earlier this year and to much acclaim Sufjan took his new production out on tour throughout the US. The hyper coloured, visual elements solidified the futuristic feel of 2010's 'The Age Of Adz'. It is sure to be a real audio-visual treat.

As well as the live music, there's also a number of "Parkinson" style interviews with luminaries from the world of Music and Media, to show the way in which success is achieved, as well as educational panels, workshops and networking sessions. The first speakers and panels have been confirmed and include producer Paul Epworth in conversation, plus key players from PRS for Music, Deloitte, BMG UK, Cooking Vinyl, Various Artists Management and ACUMEN Media Law.

DJ Shadow joins the bill for The Great Escape convention where he will be 'in conversation' about his pioneering career on Friday 13th May where he will provide a unique insight into his work to date, and explain how the Shadowsphere was both conceived and realised.

Also added to the line-up are The Joy Formidable, Marnie Stern, Alela Diane, Max Richter, Hauschka, Smoke Fairies, Trophy Wife, Matthew and the Atlas, Ghostpoet, Worship, Dustin O'Halloran, Marcus Foster, Ben Howard, The Holidays, Woodhands, Heathers, The Bonfires, Paper Crows, Dan Parsons, NLF3, and Brasstronaut.
