first acts for the Firefly festival

The first acts for the Firefly festival have been announced, with the line-up expanded to incorporate more acts for the raised capacity. Acts include Will And The People, Morning Parade, Marcus Foster, and Flashguns who will join local acts, festival favourites and as yet unannounced headline artists.

The first acts to be announce (in full) are Morning Parade, Marcus Foster, The Neon Lights, Patch William, Kyla La Grange, Scott Matthews, Will And The People, Flashguns, Picture Book, The Milk, Matthew and the Atlas, The Anomalies, Goodnight Lenin, Talking Pictures, Videosprint, The Wild Mercury Sound, Tom Bradley, XIII and the Brave, and Fawkes.

Held in the small forest clearing behind Elton Hall, Elton, Ludlow, in Shropshire Firefly now its second year, expands to three days, happening from Friday 12th to Sunday 14th of August 201, offering music, campfires, woodland, valleys and a natural amphitheatre.

The initial inspiration behind this festival was to provide an opportunity for small, unsigned to be able to play outside of grimy pubs, and takes pride in hosting "a quirky weekend of wonderment and frivolity, with both the expected and the very unexpected". 2011 will see the introduction of not only the Firefly 'pub' but also a 'dancehole'!

Tickets are priced at £55 for an adult weekend camping ticket. Due to its uniquely placed countryside setting, children under the age of 14-years-old are unfortunately not permitted to attend. To buy tickets, click here .
