Download festival which takes place in Donington Park from Friday 10th until Sunday 12th June has announced the non-mainstream activities for festival goers.

In what was the 'Bell Tent' on Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights, INK at The Doghouse at Download will see top rock & metal DJ's on the decks, including Radio 1 Rock Show's Daniel P. Carter, XFM Rock Show's Ian Camfield, the Metal Hammer podcast duo Terry Bezer and James Gill, and XFM's Rich Walters.

The official 'Fancy Dress Friday' - happening for the first time at Download - invites all Downloaders, staff, crew, and artists adopt this years theme of Zombies. Festival goers during the day will be recruited by a horde of zombies on site to get decked out and painted up as the walking dead, all to converge on The Doghouse for the ZOMBIE BALL, celebrating the first day of Download 2011!

There's also comedy, with Kunt & The Gang, Andrew O'Neill, Jason Rouse, Sean Percival, plus many more performing in the Comedy Tent on the Wednesday and Thursday.

Moving into the weekend, the Comedy Tent will then play host each night of the festival to the spell binding Madame Pain’s Boudoir Circus, an immersive theatrical experience incorporating Victorian-era characters, Rock Angels, swinging Trapeze acts, contortionists, ‘Hardcore Henchmen’ with ‘Hell Bitch’, acrobatics and beds of nails – a true S&M experience conceived by Madame Pain who has even performed with themaster of horror Alice Cooper.

There's also the Outdoor Cinema, showing classic cult movies and box set favourites such as South Park, Family Guy and The Simpsons, plus the VK bus with DJs after the main acts have finished, and the Jäger Ice truck hosting The Acoustic stage with exclusive acoustic sets from famous live rock bands throughout the day.

Day tickets for Download are priced at £75. Weekend arena tickets are already available with 3 nights camping are priced at £170, a five nights camping weekend ticket is priced at £180 and offers access to the Download camp site from midday Wednesday June 8th 2011, and a weekend only ticket without camping is priced at £140.
