GuilFest announces Chipmunk, Steve Harley and many more

plus new punk/ska stage with 999, The Lurkers, Neville Staple, + UK Subs

Chipmunk, and Steve Harley and Cockney Rebel lead the latest announcements for this year's GuilFest including acts for a new stage which is a new home for punk and ska acts on the bill.

Chipmunk will be bringing his brand of hip hop to the Main Stage at GuilFest on Sunday for his first ever performance in Stoke Park.

Returning to GuilFest for a second time is Steve Harley and Cockney Rebel who will appear on The Good Time Guide stage at GuilFest on Saturday supporting Peter Andre.

Supporting Public Image Ltd on The Good Time Guide Stage on Sunday will be one of the UK's finest songwriting talents, Hugh Cornwell - the original guitarist, singer and main songwriter in The Stranglers.

Indie rockers The Rifles come to GuilFest for the first time on Friday, performing on the Main Stage before Echo & The Bunnymen, and new wave pop artists The Blow Monkeys will appear on the Main Stage on Sunday.

Performing on The Good Time Guide stage on Saturday will be singer/songwriter Edei, and on Friday the stage hosts synth pop newcomers GoGoBot.

Also announced today is a brand new addition to the festival, the Vive Le Rock Stage, sponsored by Vive Le Rock Magazine, and a new home at GuilFest for all things Punk and Ska.

Friday sees appearances from 999,The Lurkers, The Lambrettas, and The Grit.

Saturday's line-up will feature Neville Staple, Anti-Nowhere League, Missing Andy, Sex Pistols Experience, DC Fontana, and Stone Foundation.

Whilst on Sunday it's the turn of UK Subs, The Skints, Random Hand, New Town Kings, and TV Presenter Loyd Grossman's band The New Forbidden. There are lots more acts to be confirmed on all three days on this stage that's sure to be a popular new addition to the festival.

They join the already announced Roger Daltrey from The Who playing 'Tommy' and The Who’s Greatest Hits, James Blunt, Razorlight, N-Dubz, Adam Ant, Gallows, Erasure, Noisettes, Peter Andre, Public Image Ltd, Echo & The Bunnymen, The Saw Doctors, Ziggy Marley, Pendulum (DJ Set) & MC AD, Nero, and Modestep (DJ Set). The line-up will continue to grow over the coming weeks to a massive 200 bands performing over the 3 days of the festival.

The line up is still not complete, and there are loads more acts still to be announced on all the stages. GuilFest is not just about the music and throughout the site there are many activities and shows to keep festival goers entertained all weekend.

GuilFest is a great laid-back festival where visitors can enjoy a great weekend taking place from Friday 15th until Sunday 17th July 2011 in Stoke Park, Guildford in Surrey. As well as music, elsewhere on the site there are new attractions such as The GuilFest Vintage Fayre, and La Discotheque as well as GuilFest favourites: The eFestivals Cosmic Comedy Zone, The Man In The Moon Theatre Tent, Farmer Giles Barndance, The Eden Peoples' GuilFest Gallery, The Plantation Zone (an area specially for the under 18s), and the brilliant GuilFest KidZone, this year featuring a special VIP appearance from Peppa Pig. Also as usual there's a great arts & crafts village, Massive 150ft Beer Tent, Calypso Cocktail Bar, Street Performers, Food from around the world, and much much more – even the chance to enjoy a swim in pool next door.

An adult weekend camping ticket is priced at £120, adult weekend tickets without camping are priced at £110, child (aged 12-15 years old) weekend with camping £70 and child weekend tickets without camping are priced at £60. Children aged under 12 have free entry with a ticket holding adult. A campervan ticket is priced at £60. This year is looking set to be a sellout.
