Mike Lynskey, Festival Organiser of Beached since 2001 said, "I'm so happy we've been able to bring Beached back. It's been a huge part of my life and was a very hard decision in 2009 to call it a day. We were approached by Apollo who run the Open Air Theatre at the end of 2010 to put Beached into the venue, and we've been working since then to put the show together. I'm very happy to be part of the brand new Scarborough Fair and look forward to many more years of Beached>/i>."

Jim McLaughlin, Festival Director of Musicport added, "We're delighted to be involved in the weekend in such a great venue and to be working alongside Mike & the Beached team. All the acts we'll be putting on are artists that have astounded audiences at our festival so we know that Scarborough is in for a real treat and a day to remember."
