T in the Park warning over fake Facebook pages

T in the Park have issued a warning to fans over fake Facebook pages.

Festival organisers have asked us to alert T in the Park fans to the fact there are some fake T in the Park Facebook pages in circulation, in particular 'Official T in the Park ticket sales' and 'T in the Park 2012'.

Festival organisers say, "Although some pages are harmless and in fact some are good fun communities that have been built on the back of attending T in the Park others are unsafe, especially when claiming to be selling tickets for the event. As well as alerting our fans through the official Facebook page, we have reported these pages and they will hopefully be brought down soon."

There is only one T in the Park Facebook page which can be found here. Facebook fans should be careful how they interact with T in the Park sites on the social networking site, and if they know it is a fake page are asked to report it to Facebook.

The nineteenth T in the Park will be back at Balado in 2012 from Friday 5th to Sunday 8th July with early entry available on Thursday 4th July.

A limited number of early bird tickets for T in the Park 2012 went on sale and tickets are not currently available. Expect a line-up of around 180 artists to play over 11 stages. There are no acts confirmed yet for 2012.
