Connan Mockasin and Silver Apples are amongst the latest acts to be chosen by curators Battles, Caribou, and Les Savy Fav for the second festival weekend ATP Nightmare Before Christmas happening from Friday 9th until Sunday 11th December 2011 at Butlins Resort, Minehead, in Somerset.
Whilst Caribou on Sunday's line-up are Silver Apples, Roll The Dice, and Connan Mockasin.
Caribou are confirmed to play as the Caribou Vibration Ensemble - featuring special guest Marshall Allen (Sun Ra Arkestra), Kieran Hebden (Four Tet) on synthesizers and electronics, James Holden on modular synthesizers, a 4 piece horn section and two drummers - an 11 piece band total. The band features the four piece horn section that featured on Caribou's Swim LP and James Holden's modular synth is going to be connected to / played by Ahmed Gallab's (Sinkane/Yeasayer) drum kit.
ATP will also present the European premiere of the documentary film 'Paradise Lost 3: Purgatory' at Nightmare Before Xmas. The annual Book Club's recommended reading list has also been announced. This year ATP will also be joined by literary journal Laphams Quarterly who will be running discussions on Visit From The Goon Squad and Blood Meridian on Saturday 10th December and on City Of Quartz on Sunday 11th December

Butlins Minehead looks out across a sandy beach. The site is equipped with a supermarket, newsagent, cash points and restaurants. Onsite facilities include an ATP programmed cinema, Splash Water World - a sub-tropical environment that has a wave pool, a swimming pool, 3 flumes and also a flume based raft ride - Ten-pin bowling and amusement arcade. Sports include Archery, Football, Basketball, Darts, Petanque, Fencing, Kwik Cricket, Netball, Rounders, Table Tennis, Outdoor Bowls and Crazy Golf.
