early bird tickets back on sale for Cornbury 2012

Early bird tickets go back on sale at 9am today for next summer's Cornbury Music Festival taking place at its new home The Great Tew Estate, at Chipping Norton.

At the beginning of the month a total of 1000 weekend camping tickets were made available with regular and quieter camping options. These have now sold out, however organiser Hugh Phillimore has agreed to put more on sale, saying, "I'm afraid I'm a bit Bah Humbug about Christmas in general (a condition inherited from my dear Victorian father) but even I've been softened by loads of lovely emails asking if we can reinstate the earlybird ticket offer, as various of our regulars missed the opportunity to buy tickets before we sold out our allocation.

"So in the spirit of Christmas (never thought I'd say that) we're going back on sale this Thursday morning (Dec 15th) for a very limited period with a small additional allocation. Now hopefully those that want to give their nearest & dearest tickets for our little festival will be able to satisfy their generosity with a lovely present full of surprises!

In addition to the music, expect the festival to offer a variety of attractions including a fairground, many morris dance pageants, children's theatre workshops, theatre workshops, arts and crafts, speciality shops, novelty acts and upmarket catering offering everything from champagne and cappuccinos to real ale.

An adult weekend is priced at £130 with camping. A young person's weekend ticket (aged 13-16 years) is priced at £70 with camping. Camping tickets for children (aged 2-12 years) are priced at £10. Children 2yrs and under go free and do not require a ticket.
