The Slam Tent have confirmed they will open on Friday on their Facebook page, (), following last year's approval to increase the capacity for this summer's 19th T in the Park.

The increase in the number of day tickets will bring the overall capacity on the Friday up to the same level of 85,000 that is permitted on Saturday and Sunday.
The agreement also sees The Slam Tent relocated this year as the site is slightly re-designed to provide for the extra capacity, with a former car park now being used to extend camping.
T in the Park will be back at Balado in 2012 from Friday 6th to Sunday 8th July with early entry available on Thursday 5th July. Expect a line-up of around 180 artists to play over 11 stages.
A limited release of T in the Park tickets went on sale last year with around 42,500 tickets went in under five hours. Full prices have not yet been announced. The final batch of T in the Park tickets will go on general sale in February 2012, and eFestivals will have links to buy them then.
The Stone Roses are the first headline act confirmed with no other acts announced. The entire festival bill will be announced over the coming months.
