The ticket instalment plan details have been revealed before the main sale of tickets for this summer's Reading and Leeds when they go on sale again in March.
The Two-part scheme will involve an initial payment is 50% of the face value of tickets (not yet announced) plus an £8 booking fee. This will be followed by making a second payment of 50% of face value plus a postage fee priced at £5.25 per transaction (regardless of number of tickets in the booking) at a later date (yet tbc).
The Four-part scheme requires an initial payment of 25% of the face value plus the £8 booking fee per ticket.Followed by two more monthly instalments at 25% of face value, and then a final 25% payment of face value plus £5.25 postage fee per transaction (regardless of number of tickets in the booking).
If a payment is missed, or you decide you no longer want to attend the festival, a refund on the amount already paid will not be possible. The four-part scheme offer will end once there is less than four months to go before the festival, but the two-part will still be on offer.
Further details on each ticket instalment plan and the payment dates will be available once ticket prices are confirmed later this month, before the all-important line-up and general sale tickets are released in the Spring. There are no acts confirmed yet for 2012, expect a line-up of big names from the rock, alternative, indie, punk and metal scenes. For the line-up rumours as available, please click here for Reading, and here for Leeds.
The twin festivals take place on the bank holiday weekend, from Friday 24th to Sunday 26th August. Reading Festival takes place at Little Johns Farm, Richfield Avenue, Reading, Berkshire, and Leeds Festival takes place at Bramham Park, Leeds, West Yorkshire.
As with previous years organisers Festival Republic are keen to encourage festival goers to respect the local residents and the environment, and to encourage everyone to leave their cars at home.
Festival organisers are warning ticket buyers to NOT use fake ticket selling sites. Make sure any tickets you buy are legitimate. eFestivals always links to official ticket outlets (and doesn't host adverts for unofficial outlets unlike other festival websites!) so you can be sure that any ticket bought via eFestivals will get you into the festival of your choice. Do not purchase tickets from unofficial or secondary ticket outlets or auction sites as they often are unable to supply the tickets, and might not even give you a refund - there's lots of dodgy operators out there!
