Hidden Hedge line-up revealed for Blissfields

Pronghorn, and Dub Pistols along with the first comedy names have been announced for the family friendly Blissfields held at Woodmancott, in Hampshire from Thursday 29th June to Sunday 1st July 2012.

Blissfields regulars can expect more lasers, strobes and smoke machines from the Northern Lights Collective and Striking Lighting. Sound and DJ sets from Shudder Vision. A separate chill out zone with sofas, special effects, plus sound and projections from Magnetic Mirror, VJ Visulante and Wubworld. As well as more mad sculptural installations and lighting effects adorning the hedge from Coalescence Collective.

This year there will be more artistic contributors with live acts kicking off each night from 8-10pm featuring Amongst The Pigeons, Heathward, Remnant Psyche, Science of Eight Limbs, Transend, and Dr Strangelove's Burlesque Discotheque .

From 10pm the The Hedge hosts it's more familiar DJ sets showcasing electronica, dubstep, jungle and more until 4am from Alex The Kidd, Andy Oliver, Dan Hayes (Subgiant), Dan Munro, Digits McPhee, Envious Mind, Jetpack Assassin, Mary Miss Fairy, and Kursa.

Plus additional DJs and many more contributors still to be announced.

This year during the day the Hedge will be transformed for the first time into The Acoustic Stage, which will be debuting at Blissfields this year. This includes a live radio show with selected artists on the Friday morning from Express FM.

They will be joined by acts from Turf Records, and the paradYse label, plus Blissfields own selection of acts. The collaborators will field a line-up that includes Bebe Black, The Hall Of Mirrors, ColourMasks, Sam McCarthy, Will McNicol & Jack Palmer, Leigh Mary Stokes, Rose Bradshaw, Huw Olesker, Laura Boyle, Owen Hackett, We Spies, Stir of Echoes, Luke Ferre Band, Bryony Marie Fry, and Jonny P Taylor.

The first acts to be confirmed are Imperial Leisure who will headline the opening night, and Subgiant will close the main stage on the Friday night. With The Mini Band, Arp Attack, Bear Cavalry, Big O, Cut Corners, Kill em Dead Cowboy, Little Chief, Live Like Kings, Melodramas, Oresteia, Pussycat & The Dirty Johnsons, Reventure, Sean McGowan, Smokey Bastard, Stinger, Stone Them Crows, The Lost Souls Club, and The Queue. There are no other acts confirmed yet. More of the line-up will be released over the coming weeks, including headliners and more major acts.

Music takes place across five stages: The main open air stage; The Bradley Bubble a Big Top Stage offering mixed entertainment including local acts, open mic and after hours fun; Tractor Disco Stage (DJs) – An open air carnival on a tractor trailer for all day frivolity; The Hidden Hedge - a secluded hideaway in the woods, with chilled atmosphere and secret appearances/performances; and The Campfire which offers acoustic, DIY, and other entertainment.

This year Blissfields will celebrate the world of sport with a full programme of sports day events, a school disco and remember the last day of school. There's the opportunity to represent your House, as well as vote for Head Boy and Head Girl, once again giving fans of the festival another way to be a part of the makings of the event. Although Blissfields will not be strict on the dress code, although they do warn they may have to employ Hall Monitors to make sure you are all upholding the Blissfields reputation.

So, grab your jolly hockey sticks and catch us round the back of the bike shed for the best 'last day of term' style fun you ever had.

An adult ticket is priced at £74 for the weekend with camping, £49 for those aged 6-15 for the weekend with camping, children aged under 6 are free, there is no separate tariff for those not camping. No under 16's to camp unless accompanied by an over 21 years of age. Campervan tickets are priced at £35, and Thursday camping is an additional £16. There will be a £10 charge made on arrival for all vehicles, excluding those with valid campervan/caravan pass.

Weekend Family Tickets (2 Adult & 2 Youth weekend tickets) are priced at £210, and a weekend 10 adult tickets for the price of 9 offer is priced at £666. Day Tickets will be on sale at a future date.
