Ray Davies to headline Jersey Folklore festival

Sunday night's headliner for Folklore a new festival held on Jersey is the former Kinks frontman and founder Ray Davies.

The man behind such classics as 'Lola', 'You Really Got Me' and 'Waterloo Sunset'. Also performing on the Main Stage over the weekend are Nouvelle Vague, Lee Scratch Perry, and late 60s and early 70s act Rodriguez.

A second stage will feature an array of live music, film, poetry, comedy and theatre over the weekend, with punk poet John Cooper Clarke the first act confirmed for that stage.

Previously confirmed for the inaugural festival are Saturday headliner Van Morrison, and Joan Armatrading.

With a capacity of just 5,000 attendees per day, alternative live music, comedy, theatre, poetry and film will take place across two stages at Peoples Park in Jersey on the weekend of Saturday 30th June and Sunday 1st July 2012.

There will be an arts & crafts area, an organic food village, holistic healing village, and a kids creative playground.

Tickets will go on sale at 9am tomorrow, Saturday 28th April, priced at £105 for the weekend and day tickets are £62.50. To buy tickets then, click here.
