The Hullabaloo Festival, a three day family friendly Music and Arts Festival due to be held from Saturday 2nd until Monday 4th June over the Diamond Jubilee Bank Holiday Weekend has been cancelled.

The planned festival site located at Burley Fields Lake, Leckhampton, Cheltenham, in Gloucestershire is completely sodden say organisers, and in some areas flooded, and so they are currently trying to re-schedule the event for later this year, and are hoping for the August bank holiday.

A statement from organisers says:
"We are very sorry to announce that the Hullabaloo Festival 2012 will not take place on the June Bank Holiday as scheduled.

The extreme weather conditions, (apparently the wettest 4 weeks for over 100 years) have left the festival site completely sodden and in some areas flooded. The forecast is for more rain over the next 2 weeks and the Met Office have now issued flood warnings for the region. We have been advised by the landowner (who has worked on the land for over 30 years and has never before seen such conditions) that even if we did have a dry spell it would not be enough to dry the ground sufficiently.

For this reason we have decided not to delay in making this announcement so that the performers, artists, traders, ticket holders and everyone else involved have the best opportunity possible to re-arrange their plans for the Bank Holiday.

This situation is made particularly disappointing because we have had such a wonderful response to the festival. We are absolutely delighted with the quality of the organisations, artists, performers and individuals who have become involved and ticket sales have already far exceeded our expectations.

As it stands we are looking into the feasibility of re-scheduling the event. We have already been in consultation with all our partners to check their availability for an alternative date, and we are very hopeful that we can still hold the Hullabaloo Festival 2012, probably on the August Bank Holiday: 25th, 26th and 27th. We will keep you updated as to our progress in this regard over the coming days and will make a final decision as soon as we possibly can. So far the response has been very positive indeed.

If we are able to re-schedule then tickets will remain valid for the new date. If the event is cancelled then full refunds will be issued. We will be contacting everyone involved (participants and ticket holders) via email over the coming days, so please bear with us.

Thank you
."

The line-up was set to include The Jim Jones Revue, Dub Pistols, Concrete Disco, Jim Lockey and the Solemn Sun, Gundogs, The Portaits, Fight the Bear, The Bleedin Noses, The Hook-Line Riot, Thrill Collins, JC's Revenge, The Me Me Me's, Gary J Armstrong, Louisa Gaylard, Mizizi, Cadbury Sisters, Faithinfools, Southgate & Leigh, The Novatones, The Portraits, Beaujacks, The Booby Traps, Smak Daddi, Swift Manouver, Babble, Juey, Harbour, Harry Cash, and Hartley. Plus local performers in comedy, poetry, children's acts and performance art across a Main Stage and Performance Tent.
