A raft of new live acts led by Richard Hawley, Gruff Rhys, and Death In Vegas, have been announced for the inaugural Festival No. 6 which takes place in Portmeirion, Wales the location for the cult 60's TV series The Prisoner, hence the name being a reference to the show.

Also confirmed for the event which takes place over the weekend of Friday 14th until Sunday 16th September 2012 are Local Natives, British Sea Power, Everything Everything, King Creosote, Summer Camp, Jessie Ware, Kindness, Field Music, Beth Jeans Houghton, Alt-J, Clock Opera, The Whip, The Invisible, Cate Le Bon, Toy, Gang Colours, Eugene McGuinness, The Wave Pictures, Y Niwl, Sweet Baboo, Richard James, Pictish Trail, Parma Violets, Savages, Stealing Sheep, Lucy Cooke-Slothville, Charlie Boyer, and Jeb Loy Nichols.

Portmeirion was constructed between 1925 and 1975 byarchitect Sir Clough Williams-Ellis and the village is a bizarre and elaborate interpretation of a Mediterranean villa.

Bands, DJs, musicians and string ensembles will be performing across the entire site, from the historic town hall to the Colonnade gardens to the picturesque Bay Stage and the promenade along the estuary of the River Dwyryd from Friday 14th until Sunday 16th September 2012.

Acts previously confirmed include New Order, Primal Scream, Spiritualized, and DJs including Francois K, Erol Alkan, Mr Scruff, Derrick Carter Does Disco, Andrew Weatherall & Sean Johnston present A Love From Outer Space, Horse Meat Disco, Jerry Dammers, Don Letts, Optimo, Luke Solomon, Daniele Baldelli, Harri & Domenic Cappello, Unabombers, Lowlife, PBR Streetgang, and Kelvin Brown.

An adult weekend tickets with camping are priced at £129, a young persons weekend camping ticket (aged 11 - 15 years) is priced at £79, with under 11s free.

The festival offers a bespoke line-up of iconic and cutting edge musical acts with a truly unique range of alternative activities. These include cinema screenings, street theatre, prose and poetry readings, midnight masquerades, cliff-top comedy stages, secret parties, impromptu interactive moments and even participate in cultural lectures and debates.

The rugged Welsh landscape will also offer punters the opportunity to get physical with activities including wild swimming, zorbing, clay pigeon shooting and archery.

Castell Deudraerth will be opening its doors to any guests looking for some luxury accommodation. Alternative options include cosy cottages in the heart of the picturesque village, the stately gatehouse, tower bedrooms, tribal yurts, tipis and bell tents along with a selection of iconic caravans and movie star Airstream trailers.
