Theatre Tent and Bimble Inn line-ups announced for Beautfiul Days

The programme for the new Theatre Tent and the Bimble Inn line-up has been announced for the sold out Beautiful Days festival.

Acts announced to play in The Bimble Inn include Back To The Planet, Small Town Jones, local singer Maz Totterdell, Steve Axel B, Bubblies, Utopian Love Revival, Ratz, Subgiant, Matthew & Me, Gary J Armstrong, and Charcoal Sunset.

The line-up for the seated Theatre Tent features shows for children of all ages and adults with a programme including theatre, comedy, music, acrobatics, mime and magic. The new Theatre Tent will be located near the Band Stand Stage at the entrance to Redwoods Family Camping.

The new area will host the Cornish theatre company Cube Theatre presenting a new adaptation of 'Pinocchio'; the Multi Story Theatre Company will present a re-telling of a traditional Russian folk tale 'The Firebird'; and Exeter-based touring clowns Le Navet Bete will present 'Napoleon: A Defence'.

Also appearing will be Cornwall's Owdyado Theatre who will put the humble park bench centre stage to explore the dramas that take place upon it in 'About A Bench'.

Dom Coyote and a cast of musicians will present 'The Ruan Tree' using music, story and theatre to weave a vivid, apocalyptic landscape with a unique set design has been developed by theatre designer Michael Vale.

Each morning Rob Pudner and Dexter Newman will open the Theatre Tent with 'Rise 'n Shine' and 60 minutes of games, stories, and songs with support from Hanky Mouse. The duo will also present a 50 minute mini musical 'Entertainingly Different' with the help of their puppets.

Theatre company Kat's Whiskers bring 'The Hamwehads' - a production with animated puppets, lyrical poetry, catchy songs and a death defying slapstick battle, and 'Rosie and the Seagull' also with plenty of puppets and poetry to the Theatre Tent.

Plus magic from Peter Clifford, acrobatic clownng and mime from Mr Be, and finally, Dickens meets Roald Dahl via Horrible Histories with laughs, frights and live music in 'Grisly Tales from Tumblewater' by Teasel Theatre Company.

The line-up for The Band Stand which will include music, poetry, dance and Q&A's with John Robb will be announced soon, along with the early evening stand-up comedy in the Theatre Tent, and the running orders for each of the stages.

Beautiful Days, which place at Escot Park, near Fairmile, Devon from Friday 17th to Sunday 19th August 2012 with gates opening on the Thursday afternoon.

The festival's Sunday Theme has been announced as 'Hearts'. As usual it's a simple theme and festival goers are asked to join in with anything heart-shaped on clothes or accessories.

Public Image Limited will headline on Saturday, Frank Turner and his support band The Sleeping Souls will headline the main stage on Friday night, with festival founders Levellers who release the first track from new studio album 'Static On The Airwaves' next month will close the celebrations on the Sunday night, as is traditional followed by a firework spectacular.

The line-ups for the new Theatre Tent, The Band Stand and The Bimble Inn are still to be announced over the coming months.

Tickets for this year have already sold out nearly four months in advance. There will be no more tickets made available in advance or on the gate. Car parking passes and campervan tickets are still available for weekend camping ticket holders.
