Peter Doherty pulls out of T in the Park

Peter Doherty has pulled out of his appearance at T in the Park to deal with addiction issues.

Peter Doherty was due to appear on the Transmissions Stage on Saturday 7th July, however his team have just posted this message about the singer not being able to perform after he checked into a rehab clinic in Thailand to deal with personal health issues:

"Peter is terribly upset not to be able to make this year's T in the Park as it is always a great experience and one of his favourite events on the festival circuit. The decision that he couldn't do it was not one taken lightly but the important reasons preventing his attendance this year are clear. Peter has entered a facility to deal with pressing medical issues. We hope you wish him well on this major step he has taken and wish T in the Park as successful an event as ever."

T in the Park takes place at Balado over the weekend of Thursday 5th to Sunday 8th July and has a line-up that includes Snow Patrol, The Stone Roses and Kasabian. Also confirmed are Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds, Florence + The Machine, Tinie Tempah, New Order, David Guetta, Calvin Harris, Nicki Minaj, Swedish House Mafia, Elbow, Example, Professor Green, Kaiser Chiefs, Jessie J, Chase & Status, Skrillex, The Temper Trap, Hilltop Hoods, Fun. King Charles, The Parlotones, Dog is Dead, Sven Vath, Bombay Bicycle Club, Feeder, J. T in the Park 2012 will open its gates in under three weeks on the Thursday to for a four-day weekend. On site will be Healthy T offering fans a chance to refuel with the fresh festival cuisine, relax with a massage or soak up the sun on the picnic benches. Also on offer is Refresh which offers a pamper parlour that's equipped with mirrors, hair dryers and straighteners, plus posh flushing loos and a luxurious salon-standard hair washing facility.

Tickets for T in the Park are priced as follows:

A full weekend camping ticket (Fri-Sun arena access) £189
A full weekend with Thursday camping (Thurs - Sun) £199
A weekend (Fri-Sun) with no camping £179
A Saturday or Sunday day ticket £77.50
Friday only £70

No under 5s. Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult 21+ with a full priced ticket.
