Now in its fifth year the festival for around 20,000 festivalgoers will offer an array of music, theatre, comedy, art, and Arcadia (confirmed to return in 2013). BoomTown Fair is a music, arts and family festival that takes place at Matterley Bowl, nr. Winchester, in Hampshire and will run from Thursday 8th until Sunday 11th August 2013.

There are no acts confirmed yet for 2013. Early bird tickets are priced at £85 for the first thousand, then 2nd tier price was £94, and 3rd tier are now available priced at £109, plus a £10 eco bond deposit - part of the 'keep the town tidy' scheme. A teen (13-17 years) ticket is priced at £85, a child ticket (6-12 years) is priced at £20, and children under 6 can go free but need a ticket.

A deposit scheme is in place whereby the option is available for you to pay half of your ticket now, and the second half by the 1st of July 2013.

This year the town mayor has launched a new initiative, aiming to give something back to the wider community, with the option to donate £2 available at the time of buying your ticket. This money will be collected in the Boom Pot and handed over to a number of charities in the local community.

The maximum number of tickets that can be ordered is 8 to help reduce ticket touting problems.

To keep the site free from litter, Boomtown offer festivalgoers an eco bond initiative to help keep the streets of BoomTown tidy. Ticket purchasers will be asked to pay an additional £10 eco bond deposit. On arrival at the festival attendees will be given a 'boomtown eco bag'. Organisers ask everyone to fill this bag with all their rubbish and hand it back into one of the drop off points for recycling, and have their £10 deposit returned.

Lak Mitchell Co-director BoomTown said, "The whole team has been blown away by the sheer volume of people that tried to get a ticket at 7:00pm – we sold over 5 times the amount of tickets in the first hour compared to last year, which caused the website to cripple under the strain! We have some huge plans already shaping for the 2013 Fair and can't wait to see everyone back in the town next August."

BoomTown offers a weekend of cabaret, gypsy, folk, reggae, dub and more within the confines of a whole 'pop up' town. Boomtown 2013 Is already in the planning stages and after the success of the 2012. With new stages, festival theme and the entire music line-up all still to be announced.

This year sees Boomtown once again open its gates on a Thursday for festival goers to get their Boomtown bearings whilst enjoying a light sprinkling of musical entertainment in a selection of the smaller venues on the outskirts of the town.
