As predicted, Bon Jovi have been announced as the the second headliner for next summer's Isle of Wight Festival as another UK festival exclusive.

Bon Jovi
The all-American rockers will be on a world tour of arenas and stadiums in support of their forthcoming record, 'What About Now', with the 'Because We Can' tour now stopping on the final night of the twelfth Isle of Wight festival happening from Thursday 13th until Sunday 16th June 2013.

Jon Bon Jovi, said, "The Isle of Wight Festival is legendary and we're excited to join in the long tradition of Rock 'n' Roll history. We are honoured to be the headliners on the Main Stage Sunday night. This will mark our first visit to the island and I expect it will prove to be a highlight of our tour and of 2013."

John Giddings, the festival's promoter, said, "I can’t imagine a better rock band with more hits to close our Sunday night. The Rolling Stones, Paul McCartney and Bruce Springsteen are hard acts to follow – but I think they'll do it!"

The Stone Roses were confirmed yesterday as headlining the Main Stage on Friday 14th June, which will be the band's only UK festival appearance in 2013.
