Hip-hop legends De La Soul will top the line-up for Standon Calling 2013.
The New York trio's set comes nearly a quarter of a century after the release of their debut '3 Feet High and Rising'. A catalogue rich set featuring 'Me Myself and I', 'The Magic Number' and 'Grind Date' is sure to see the fields of Standon reverberating to the sound of these legends of alternative hip-hop.
Festival founder Alex Trenchard said, "We are delighted to have De La Soul headline Standon Calling. It's an act I've wanted to bring to Standon for a while. De La Soul is the first in a series of exciting announcements and the calibre of entertainment we have planned for 2013 is incredibly high. We can't think of an equivalent three-day festival out there that offers such a competitively priced weekend ticket."
A super early bird adult weekend ticket is priced at £79, children under 13 are free and don't require a ticket. To buy tickets, click here.
The fancy dress theme will take over the festival site with interactive theatre, art installations and costumes. The theme has not yet been announced for 2013.
There are numerous stages and the odd unexpected stage appearing from nowhere. The festival boasts a number of bars, one of which is hewn out of an enormous oak tree, secret areas, interactive theatre, swimming pool (with underwater dance area), boutique camping (beach huts, yurts and tipis), kids area, and festival food.
