American punk legends Black Flag are the first act confirmed for the south-east's Hevy Music Festival, who are celebrating the fifth year of the event this summer.

Greg Ginn's iconic band will be returning to the UK for the first time in almost 30 years, to make their only UK appearance of the year at Hevy Fest 2013, fronted by Henry Rollins replacement singer Ron Reyes.

Organisers said, "They have undoubtedly had the greatest impact on DIY record distribution, underground touring and hardcore music of any band, before or since. There is a whole generation of musicians and fans that would cite Black Flag as being the most important band to have influenced them, without ever even having the chance to see them perform live, until now."

With over 80 bands still to be announced for the weekend of Friday 2nd until Sunday 4th August 2013. The first full band announcement will be made in the coming weeks.

Hevy will also have after-hours DJs every night, stalls from clothing brands, live extreme sports displays and more.

Early bird weekend tickets are priced at £89 including camping, and free entry to Port Lympne Wild Animal Park for the weekend. A weekend parking pass is priced at £10. To buy tickets, click here.

Please note that this is an age 14+ only event.
