German digital pioneers Kraftwerk will bring their 3D show to this summer's T in the Park.
Geoff Ellis, Festival Director, said, "Kraftwerk are a truly seminal band. Their revolutionary sound altered the face of contemporary music, and paved the way for so many artists across so many musical genres. Autobahn was the first album I ever acquired and I witnessed them perform it live in its entirety at the Tate Modern last Wednesday when I was in the audience for the first of their run of shows there. They were absolutely amazing and I was blown away it really was a life-affirming night. They are a massively influential group and an incredible live act, and weare hugely excited to welcome Kraftwerk to T in the Park for the first time this July, in what will be a very special moment in our 20th year celebrations."
Also already confirmed are headliners Mumford & Sons, Rihanna and The Killers, plus Emeli Sandé, Two Door Cinema Club, The Script, Alt-J, Paloma Faith, Jake Bugg, Azealia Banks, and Of Monsters and Men. Many more acts will be confirmed next week with a line-up of around 180 artists playing over 11 stages.
T in the Park will be celebrating the milestone of its 20th year back at Balado in 2013 from Friday 12th until Sunday 14th July with early entry available on Thursday 11th July.
The festival also offers large camping areas, as well as other attractions, including a large funfair, comedy tent, silent disco, stalls, and food markets.
Full priced tickets will go on sale 9am on Friday 22nd February, and eFestivals will have links to buy them then.
