Headlined by Lets Buy Happiness, Nadine Shah, Shields, and B>E>A>K, who have gone on to achieve success since playing previous Emerging events the line-up of emerging North East artists will see over acts taking over 9 venues in the Ouseburn Valley, Newcastle upon Tyne.

The line-up will include Eliza and The Bear, Rivals, Big Beat Bronson, Child, Blank Maps, Goy Boy McIlroy, By Toutatis, Tessera Skies, Faith Elliott, Micky Moran Parker, Agerskow, Dedmoon & Diagrams, Preqwal, Triptik DJs, Shields (DJ Set), Dionysus, Dr. Jekyl & Mr. Jive, Hndrsn, Whip Your Hair, Ken Masters, Lionhall, Tissue Culture, Alex Butler, Goodbye Chanel, Palace, Lisbon, Richard Smith, Abel Raise The Cain, This Little Bird, Arbeia, Terra T, Sam Wright, Dressed Like Wolves, Alex Dobson, Suntrap, WavesWavesWaves , Glishy Weather, O'Messy Life , and 3200 Tigers, plus secret special guests and more.

Joe Frankland, Artist Development Manager at Generator said, "Evolution Emerging is always the highlight of the North East gig calendar. We were blown away by the number of submissions we had this year and felt we just had to make our event bigger and better. So we’ll also be taking over Blast Studios, Heart Attack & Vine and Blank Studios so we can put on over 40 artists across 9 venues.

"For Evolution Emerging have played a part in the success of North East artists nationally means a lot to us so we're thrilled to be inviting artists from previous events to headline this year's event. And with an Aftershow until 3AM, we can't wait to cram so much talent into one free event."

The main Evolution Music Festival returns over two days again, with a crowd of 60,000 expected over the weekend and culminating in the outdoor shows at Spiller's Wharf on the Gateshead quayside on the late May Bank Holiday weekend on Sunday 26th and Monday 27th May 2013. Paloma Faith, and The Vaccines top the bill, headlining the Dance Stage are Modestep and Sub Focus. Also confirmed are Jake Bugg, Ellie Goulding, Rudimental, Bastille, The Strypes, AlunaGeorge, Lulu James, Arlissa, The Lake Poets, Lethal Bizzle, Mistajam, Zinc, Loadstar, Delta Heavy, Dismantle, Decibel, Drenge, Bondax, Gorgon City, P Money, Chroma, DJ Gentleman Jonny, Eliza and The Bear, and Rossi Noise.
