Sunrise: Another World (the new incarnation of Sunrise Celebration festival) has promised a rebirth as the event upsticks to a new venue, Thoulstone Park, Chapmanslade, in Wiltshire, for this, the eighth year of the event.

The four-day festival which will be happening from Thursday 30th May until Sunday 2nd June 2013, the last weekend of the half-term holidays (for those with kids), has previously announced it will celebrate its rebirth with lots of new content - including new venues, a bigger line-up, and the announcement that they are to become the first ever festival Micronation - or model country - an independent state that is not yet recognised by world governments or major international organizations.

Festival goers will be able help steer the event's future development, as they arrive the Sunrise Embassy will automatically make them citizens of the Sunrise Micronation, with the chance to actively participate in creating a new vision of society.

On arrival at Sunrise: Another World, guests will receive a visa, and then upon completion of various activities and goodwill citizenship duties while at the festival they will earn stamps which go towards being awarded their very own Sunrise Passport. Sunrise Micronation passports not only entitle citizens to the benefits of being a founding citizen, but also give a range of discounts including special priced tickets to future festivals and events.

Daniel Hurring, Managing Director of Sunrise: Another World, elucidates, "Your visa will list various tasks and participatory activities that will earn you extra stamps, including collecting bags of recycling, litter picking, arriving by sustainable transport, dressing up for our 'Around The World In 80 Days' theme, taking part in workshops, joining in with the Tribe Of Doris parade, taking part in our open mic night, building a craft item and much much more!"

Citizenship of the Micronation also means a seat at the Sunrise Moot, as Alex Lepingwell, a director of Sunrise: Another World explains, "The Moot is an ancient concept where issues are thrashed out amongst the community affected by them. In our online and physical Moot meetings over the year, Micronation Policy will be developed, decisions made and problems solved. Being part of the Micronation will be a year-round opportunity as we really want input from our citizens on everything to do with our development, from which bands to book, to evolving our Micronational stance on nuclear power. All democratically debated in the Moot!"

Citizens (and guests) can also enjoy a line-up of some of the best new talent and old favourites at Sunrise. These include Dub Pistols, The Beat, Krafty Kuts, Andy Smith, Talisman, Rankin Roger, The Egg, Utah Saints, A Skillz, Babyhead, Freestylers, The Drop, The Skints, DJ@war, Featurecast, The Mad Cows, RSVP, Basement Freaks, The Funk Hunters, Jaymo & Andy George, Lou Rhodes, DJ Cheeba, Youth (Killing Joke), Coco and the Butterfields, The Captain, John Stapleton, Freerange DJs, Too Many T's, Gadjo, Gentle Mystics, The Dirty Gentlemen, Gideon Conn, Cosmo Sheldrake, Laughing Buddha, Zetan Spore, E.V.P, Mechanimal, Sprocket, DJ George Smerin, Re-Defeat, Celtech, Monk3y Logic, Eat Static, The Disablists, Simian Mobile Disco, The Neville Staple Band, Plucky Purcell, MC Profit, DJ Rockaphonic, Benjamin Michael, Insomniac Jack, Carrie Tree, Forcenra!, Tallulah Rendall, The Rinky Dinks, the 32 20s, Kings Of Ping, Justin Harris, and Dancefloor Outlaws.
