Beatherder reveals one of two new stages for 2013

Beatherder Festival have revealed details of one of two new stages for 2013. The Fortress will be 60 feet long and made of corrugated steel, feature four huge turrets and a DJ booth in the loft.

This new stage will have a huge soundsystem and feature a line-up including Dub Pistols (DJ Set), Jon Carter, Elite Force, Russ Cuban, and Breaksjunky on Friday.

Saturday's line-up includes Mumbai Science, Justin Robertson, Bentley Rhythm Ace (DJ set), Cut La Roc, Paul Taylor, Dave The Drummer, and The Squire Of Gothos.

Whilst on Sunday the Fortress will host Mr Benn, Shepdog, The Squatters, Beat Freekz, True & False, and Dave Tupling.

Also confirmed to appear are Jalapeno Sound System, The Other Tribe, Breaksjunky, Stu Miller, DJ Slanty Abba to Gabba, Matt McHenry, Beat Freekz, and Key Lo & Sicknote.

The three day Beatherder festival takes place in Gisburn, Lancashire, with the dates for this the eighth year confirmed as Friday 5th until Sunday 7th July 2013. The festival is independently funded and has no involvement in corporate organisations, nor does it receive any sponsorship. It has organically grown from its free party roots and has a musical emphasis on dance and electronic artists, and is renowned for it's dramatic creative site art.

The Beat-herder site encompasses rolling hills, stone circles, fire pits, a network of secret underground tunnels accessed through telephone boxes, a working men's club (complete with a troupe of Bette Lynch esque 'ladies'), 10 feet high wicker foxes, giant lizards made from hollowed out old fighter planes and dozens of stages and soundsystems – some where you least expect them.

Tickets are priced at £105. A child ticket for those aged 12 and under is priced at £20, car park passes are priced at £8 and live-in vehicle passes are priced at £18 - please buy in advance.
