Wilko Johnson, the legendary guitarist of 70s Rock band Dr Feelgood and founding father of the British punk movement has been announced for Wickham Festival taking place from Thursday 1st to Sunday 4th August 2013.
Wilko, who was diagnosed with terminal pancreatic cancer earlier this year, recently announced he will play a few festival dates this summer. He will be performing at Wickham on Sunday 4th August, the same day as one of his former bands The Blockheads.
Also recently confirmed for Wickham are Public Service Broadcasting, The Deborah Bonham Band, Sarah Savoy and the Francadians, Shamus OBlivion and the Megadeath Morrismen, Neverland, The Courtiers, and Doghouse Boat Boys.
They join The Waterboys, Dexys, 10cc, Rolf Harris, Seth Lakeman, Show of Hands, Lau, KAN, Ahab, Fay Hield & The Hurricane Party, The Blockheads, Shooglenifty, Martyn Joseph, Spiers & Boden, Le Vent du Nord, The Spooky Mens Chorale, Lucy Ward, Merry Hell, Moulettes, Peatbog Faeries, Eliza Carthy, Bella Hardy, Lucy Farrell & Kate Young, Miranda Sykes & Rex Preston, Jess Morgan, Rory McLeod, Slim Chance, O'Hooley & Tidow, Tim Edey & Brendan Power, The Cathy Jordan Trio, and Exmouth Shanty Men, with many more to be confirmed.

The 5,000 capacity festival returns to the Hampshire village of Wickham, in Hampshire just east of Eastleigh and just north of Fareham and features live music on three stages plus a 'Groovy Movie' cinema tent, digital funfair, street theatre, storytelling, comedy, real ales festival, exotic foods fayre, Late Night Festival Club and entertainment for all ages with camping.
4-day weekend season tickets are currently available priced at £135 for an adult weekend ticket, with under-16s being half-price and under-10s free. Camping tickets are priced at £25 per tent or caravan for the whole weekend, and day tickets also being on sale with prices from £25 adult, £12.50 under-16s. Under-10s are free throughout.
