Special guests to The Prodigy, Limp Bizkit, will be their warm up act on the Friday night with an exclusive festival appearance at Sonisphere's celebration of 40 years of festivals.
Also confirmed are Anthrax who have performed at every UK leg of the festival, and Carnifex who join this year’s line up for their first ever UK festival appearance.
Continuing to uphold its tradition of keeping the line up wide, varied and with the odd cheeky surprise Chas & Dave are added to the bill. The last time the duo graced the stage at Knebworth was in 1979, opening for Led Zeppelin. Thirty-five years later they said, "We went down well at Knebworth in '79. Not surprised we got a return booking!"
Sonisphere also welcomes back The Sisters of Mercy for their only UK festival of 2014, alongside debutants Devin Townsend, and Dropkick Murphys.
Completing the latest acts announced for Knebworth Park, Hertfordshire this summer from Friday 4th until Sunday 6th July 2014 are Silverstein, The Virginmarys, and Voodoo Six.
