Molotov Jukebox, Electric Swing Circus, and The Destroyers will headline this year's Swingamajig which returns for a second year to a new venue, in Digbeth, Birmingham at Boxxed on bank holiday weekend Sunday 4th May 2014.

Renegade Brass Band, The Fresh Dixie Project, Smokey Joe and The Kid, Sam Green & The Midnight Heist, The Jenova Collective, Little Violet, The After Hours Quintet, Lunatrix, Mr Tea and the Minions, Holy Moly & the Crackers, Temple Funk Collective, Playing Django, The Collective 43, and The Swingamajig House Band are also confirmed for the one day urban festival of Electro Swing, Gypsy Folk and Vintage Sounds Styles and mayhem. Taking the sounds and styles from the 1920′s and bringing them up to date with a modern twist they are going be partying like its 1929!

There will also be sets from DJs such as A Skillz, Bobby Friction, and Cat In The Hat, plus Jamie Berry, Costa Le Gitan, DJ Wolfie Razzmatazz, DJ Chris Tofu, DJ/VJ Nick Hollywood, Big Swing Sound System feat. HypeMan Sage, Jamko, Madame Electrifie, DJR, and Myko Du Mal.

Organised by Birmingham’s Electric Swing Circus, one of the UK’s leading Electro Swing acts and the team behind popular club night Hot Club De Swing, Swingamajig promises to provide four diverse stages showcasing some of the most inventive and entertaining acts on the scene.

Early bird tickets are priced at £15. This event is for over 18s only.

There will be two outdoor stages, and an indoor speakeasy, showcasing UK and EU talent, both live bands and DJs, as well as circus performers vintage stalls, crazy decorations, projections and all sorts of other madness. Artists are working on various installations with all sorts of mediums, so you can expect some of the best that the second city has to offer.

New to 2014, ticket holders will have the chance to attend dance workshops held by some of Europe’s leading professionals, with a diverse programme offering lessons in lindy hop, jazz steps, right through to modern and street dance too.

Further new additions to Swingamajig 2014 are the Vintage Cinema and Electric Hamster racing, allowing festival goers an opportunity to retreat from the madness of the party by escaping to a haven of 1920’s decadence.
