Outkast will headline this year's Bestival, making one of only two UK Festival appearances.
Last year's theme was HMS Bestival, this year's theme follows a narrative with Bestival having sailed into uncharted waters, picking up rebels, misfits, artists and prophets, before beaching upon the warm sands of a tropical paradise with a stone temple in a clearing, and teems of bamboo and palm roofed shacks with a giant disco ball at their centre, this year Bestival becomes a Desert Island Disco.
Rob da Bank said, “Hey ya! By the power invested in me as chief Bestival booker, I'm pretty darn excited to announce that OutKast are headlining Bestival this year! We've fought hard to get the recently reunited legendary hip-hop duo onto the ferry... and it's no ordinary ferry this year as Bestival goes Desert Island Disco for 2014… Palm trees, grass skirts and mirrorballs are the order of the day. It truly is gonna be the Bestival yet!”
There are no other acts confirmed yet for the 11th Bestival, which will be held at Robin Hill Country Park on the Isle of Wight, are Thursday 4th until Sunday 7th September 2014.
Early bird tickets including entry from Thursday are priced at £195 for Adult Tickets and £127 for Teen (age 13-17) Tickets. Tickets for children (age 12 & under) are free (but must have a ticket). A campervan ticket is priced at £90 and a caravan £101 (per vehicle), and car parking is priced at £15 advance (or £20 cash on arrival).
This year Bestival are adding on a £1 charity donation onto all Bestival tickets. The Bestival Foundation is also a proud supporter of the Youth Trust.
