The South will headline Simon Says which returns for a second year to Leicester's De Montfort Hall on Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th July 2014.
The headliners feature members of The Beautiful South and perform many of their original hits including 'A Little Time', 'Perfect 10', and 'Rotterdam'. The top a bill that features By The Rivers, The DTs, Vibronics, Kingsize, Pressure Tenants, Hell's Addiction, Drugstore Cowboys, Miraculous Mule, Jonny Halifax and The Howling Truth, Mike West & Truckstop Honeymoon, The Brandy Thieves, Danny and the Champions Of The World, Scott Matthews, Kristyna Myles, Sena Grant and The Wolf Gang, The Strangler Figs, The Daydream Club, and more to be announced.
The event is set to build on last year's success, with further entertainment, an additional outdoor stage, a family area and 2 full days of music from 11am - 11pm on both days.
Presented in partnership with three of Leicester's most loved music venues, The Donkey, Firebug and The Musician, the festival is a celebration of local talent with some more nationally-recognised complementing the line-up.
De Montfort Hall General Manager Antony Flint stated, "I'm delighted that Simon Says is returning in 2014. After such a successful sell out first event we've been in talks with the partner venues to make sure this year's event retains that special local feel but gives the fans more of what they want. It's also a wonderful opportunity for some of Leicester's best talent to follow in the footsteps of their heroes and play on De Montfort Hall's stage.
Early bird tickets are priced at £20 for a weekend ticket. Once this initial allocation has sold out prices will rise to £25 for a weekend ticket and then to £30 on the door subject to availability. Tickets for children under 10 are £2 and under 2s go free. Please note a £3 transaction fee is payable on all tickets purchased by debit or credit card.
These are all week end prices, with day ticket information to be announced at a later date.
This is a chance to get a real festival feel in the heart of the city and at a great value ticket price. Real ale fans will also be able to enjoy a range of products from Hobgoblin, who are sponsoring this year's festival and will be serving up a selection of their range to punters.
