Scottish pop-rock band Del Amitri will headline the Saturday night of the 13th Wickerman festival which will happen on Friday 25th and Saturday 26th July 2014 with campsites open on the Thursday.
Also joining the eclectic bill will be Alabama 3 with other main stage acts still to be announced.
Wickerman Festival Coordinator Helen Chalmers said, “We are over the moon that Del Amitri have chosen Wickerman to make their Scottish festival comeback, after such a distinguished and memorable career it’ll be amazing to see the original members performing live again. It will be great to see Alabama 3 return to the festival this year, they have always had such an affinity with the Wickerman crowd. The atmosphere is sure to be electric.”
They join the Friday headliner Dizzee Rascal, as well as The Feeling, Martha Reeves and The Vandellas, The Zombies, Big Country, Finding Albert, and Model Aeroplanes.
As always, the weekend festivities will be brought to a spectacular close with the crowd-gathering tradition of burning the 40ft Wickerman statue at midnight on Saturday.
Sited on the 120 acre East Kirkcarswell Farm, near Dundrennan, South West Scotland, in deepest Galloway, the festival welcomes families, and features two main stages, as well as a dance area, acoustic tent, a campsite, trade stalls, alternative area, bars, and food stalls.
Tickets are priced at £105 for weekend adult tickets and £52.50 for weekend concession tickets, with children aged 12 and under able to attend for free. A campervan/caravan pitch is priced at £45 or £95 with an electric hook up.
