Slam Dunk Festival 2014
Saturday 24th to Monday 26th May 2014Leeds, Hatfield, Wolverhampton, England
£35, or £39 for afterparty
Kids in Glass Houses, Mallory Knox, Capdown, and We The Kings lead the latest 13 acts announced for Slam Dunk taking place on the May Bank Holiday weekend on Saturday 24th May at North Leeds University , Sunday 25th May at The University of Hertfordshire, in Hatfield, and on Monday 26th May at Midlands Wolverhampton Civic.
Having announced their impending split earlier in the year, Kids In Glass Houses will return to Slam Dunk again this year one final time to exclusively playing their debut album 'Smart Casual' in it’s entirety.
"Our first Slam Dunk show was the day before Smart Casual was released and the festival feels intrinsically linked to our beginnings as a band. It seems only fitting, then, that we should say goodbye to the festival the same we said hello, by playing Smart Casual in full. It's been 6 whole years and a lot of has happened since but it's still as fresh in our minds as the colossal hangover we suffered on release day. We can't wait.” says frontman Aled Phillips.
Mallory Knox will return with their first UK shows in 4 months. Singer Mikey said, "We are so so happy to be a part of Slam Dunk again, it was one of our highlights of last year so to be back doing it again a little higher up the bill is a great honour for us. Cant wait for Slam Dunk 2014!"
Exclusively flying in for the festival, after a break from the UK live scene of over 2 years are Florida's We The Kings. Capdown will return once more out of retirement, but not only that, Jesse James are exclusively reforming to play their first shows together since 2007.
Other acts to be announced include Chiodos, The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, Capdown, Gnarwolves, Jesse James, MC Lars, Ghost Town, Heart Of A Coward, Save your Breath, and Modern Baseball.
They join headliners All-American Rejects, plus Goldfinger, Letlive, The Ghost Inside, Zebrahead, Bury Tomorrow, The Devil Wears Prada, Canterbury, We Are The In Crowd, Less Than Jake, Motion City Soundtrack, Hit The Lights, State Champs, A Loss For Words, Chunk! No Captain Chunk!, Marmozets, Blitz Kids, H2O, I Am The Avalanche, Crown The Empire, Real Friends, Neck Deep, I Killed The Prom Queen, Decade, Caliban, and Fandangle.
