GuilFest adds Sham 69, Buzzcocks, and Ruts DC

Sham 69, Buzzcocks, and Ruts DC have just been announced for GuilFest which returns to Guildford, Surrey from Friday 18th to Sunday 20th July 2014.

They join first acts confirmed who are headliners Boomtown Rats, Kool & the Gang, and The Human League.

Sham 69, with their original line-up, featuring the founding members of the band - Jimmy Pursey, Dave Parsons and Dave Tregunna, will be headlining The Vive Le Rock Punk Stage on Friday with a set full of punk anthems including ‘Hurry Up Harry’, ‘Angels with Dirty Faces’ and ‘If The Kids are United’.

Buzzcocks return to GuilFest to headline the same stage on Saturday airing classic tracks including ‘Orgasm Addict’, ‘Harmony In My Head’, and ‘Ever Fallen In Love (With Someone You Shouldn’t’ve)’, expect them to tear the roof off The Vive Le Rock Stage.

Reggae punk rockers Ruts DC will headline The Vive Le Rock Punk Stage on the final night this year. Reformed in 2008 after nearly 30 years,they are best known for their 1978 single ‘In a Rut’, plus ‘Babylon Burning’, ‘Something That I Said’ and ‘Staring at The Rudeboys’.

In the coming weeks the GuilFest line up will continue to grow with over 200 live acts and DJs performing on 7 stages across the festival site, including the Big Cheese Rock Cave, The Acoustic Lounge and our two unsigned LiveClub stages.

 GuilFest isn't just about the music there's entertainment all over the site with comedy in the Cosmic Comedy tent,unique theatrical performances in the Theatre Tent and , Farmer Giles' Barn Dance, La Discothèque, The Funky End Dance Tent, and the brand new Spaced Inn will keep you revelling ‘til the early hours, plus many more exciting areas for you to explore, as well as a unique family friendly atmosphere you simply can't find anywhere else!

There will also be a late licensed 150 foot beer tent bar which means nobody has to wait very long for refreshment, cocktail bars, and lots of clean toilets throughout the site and camping areas.

The extensive Kidzone features fun, games, theatre and activities, with circus performances, face painting, and fun rides. On the Sunday it's over to the children for the annual Kids Parade, where the children get to show the rest of the festival what they have made over their weekend.

An early bird adult weekend camping ticket is priced at £100, adult weekend tickets without camping are priced at £80, child (aged 12-17 years old) weekend with camping £65 and child weekend tickets without camping are priced at £50. A campervan ticket is priced at £60. A VIP upgrade is prices at £50. A Friday day ticket is priced at £35, and Staurday or Sunday are priced at £40.

Anyone under 18 years old must be accompanied by an adult aged 18 years or over. Children aged 12-17 years old at the time of the festival will need to purchase a child's ticket. Children aged 11 years or younger at the time of the festival are admitted free accompanied by an adult with a valid ticket.
