Tom Jones will be headlining the final 'family' day of British Summer Time in Hyde Park in London and leading a day for all the family with family friendly music acts and much-loved children’s entertainers on Sunday 13th July 2014.
Sir Tom Jones said, "I love playing in Hyde Park, it's such a beautiful place and so many of the greats have played there. There is a real sense of musical history and a fantastic atmosphere that comes with playing in the middle of a great London park on a wonderful summer evening."
Other musical acts include Boyzone, Little Mix, 10cc, and Bootleg Beatles.
Horrible Histories return to Hyde Park with multiple performances of their ‘Loathsome London’ theatre show. Shaun the Sheep along with his flock are being herded to Hyde Park for Championsheeps Live with activities throughout the day including Shirley’s Pie-athlon, the Free Range Egg & Chick Race, a Naughty Pigs Sack Race and much more.
Other family attractions include Go!Go!Go!, Nick Jnr’s resident pop group, Mr Men Little Miss will take over the Village Hall to bring day long arts & crafts workshops to Hyde Park. With Mr Bump, Mr Tickle, Mr Strong and Little Miss Sunshine in charge there are sure to be some Mr Messy moments!
Magician Troy, will also be astounding the summer crowds too, plus there will be a Carnival area with performances, food outlets, and more suitable for all the family.
Tickets go on sale at 9am on Friday 11th April. An adult ticket is priced at £35, a child (aged 6-16 years) ticket is priced at £20, and 5 year olds and under go for free, a family of four can buy a ticket for £90.
The festival which will run from Friday 4th until Sunday 13th July 2014 will be linked by a midweek programme of diverse entertainment, accessible for all to enjoy. From Monday to Thursday, the entire Barclaycard presents British Summer Time Hyde Park site, except for the main stage, will give visitors the chance to get involved with smaller, more intimate events in the areas of film, music, literature and sport.
Headliners already announced for Barclaycard presents British Summer Time Hyde Park are Black Sabbath for 4th July, McBusted on 6th July and Neil Young 12th July. Other artists to be announced.
