The first acts have been announced for Posivitus Festival which takes place in Salacgriva, Northern Latvia from Friday 18th until Sunday 20th July 2014.

The acts appearing in the woodland surroundings of the main festival stages are Kraftwerk, Bastille, Ellie Goulding, Elbow, The Kooks, The 1975, Daughter, Laura Mvula, Junip, Temples, Anna Calvi, Of Montreal, Mo, You Me At Six, Future Islands, AlunaGeorge, NONONO, Chet Faker, Kid Karate, Birth of Joy, King Charles, Pompeya, FM Belfast, and And So I Watch You From Afar.

The 40,000 capacity Posivitus is the largest music festival in Baltics and the three day festival offers festival goers a varied programme of international bands, and up coming European acts. The festival also offers other activities besides the main stages - theatre, cinema, plenty of food and drink vendors, and circus.

Tickets are on sale priced at 63 euro (approx £52)  for a 3 day ticket with camping or 57 euro (approx £47) without camping.

The festival aims to appeal to all European festival goers and offers camping and is only 100 km from Riga by via the Baltica highway E67 and approximately 15km from Estonian border, and 70km from Estonia's liveliest summer resort town Parnu. Riga is also the nearest airport.
