"We're as excited as ever heading into our 12th year." said Festival Director Hugh Phillimore, "I've spent the last three months working on creating the best possible line-up – and it’s looking good so far. I’m so proud of what we’ve achieved but we’re always striving to do better."
Along with delivering a weekend of music, a range of children’s entertainment, fairground and gastronomic offerings, 2015 will see the Cornbury Music Festival further developing its relationship with Qi and associated publisher Unbound, expanding its Other Stage into spoken word, poetry and magic and announcing a new comedy partnership.
Cornbury Music Festival will also continue its charitable objectives in partnership with Oxford’s Helen & Douglas House children’s and young adults’ hospices and next year plans to help fund the centres' music therapy specialist.
"Of course we want to be the best small independent music festival in the UK," adds Hugh, "but if we can do some useful fundraising for the local community while having a lovely safe family party then we’ll really be achieving something."
In addition to the music, expect the festival to offer a variety of attractions including a fairground, many morris dance pageants, children's theatre workshops, theatre workshops, arts and crafts, speciality shops, novelty acts and posh catering offering everything from champagne and cappuccinos to real ale.
