Level 42 will bring their blend of op rock and jazz-funk toWeyfest on Sunday night as headliners of the event which will take place from Friday 4th until Sunday 6th September at The Rural Life Centre, near Farnham in Surrey.
After 34 years, Level 42 could be forgiven for wanting to take things a little easie, however after 2 months touring bassist and front man Mark King is up for more next year, "Touring the ‘Sirens’ EP has been about as much fun as I can remember having had on the road, and with the addition of the brass section I think the band has developed not only musically, but also in the way we present ourselves to our fans. Re-invention can be a wonderful thing!"
The festival is run over three days with three outdoor stages plus an indoor acoustic stage. There's also workshops, and on-site camping, and bars with a range of real ales, ciders, lagers & wines.
Mark and the band have released 14 studio albums, and will bring their hits including 'Lessons in Love', 'Something About You', 'Leaving Me Now', 'Running in the Family', and 'Hot Water' to make it a final night to remember at next summer's event. They are the first acvt anonunced, with more acts still to be announced.
