Kasabian, and Calvin Harris will headline the twin V Festivals which will be celebrating 20 years since it first opened its gates in '96.
Making his debut on top of the bill, Calvin Harris said, "V Festival is always an incredible time and I can't wait to headline it this year. See you there!" Kasabian's frontman, Sergio Pizzorno, added, "V is for victory, V is for voodoo, V is for vacuum cloud, V is for very very very very excited. See you in the fields!”"
Also confirmed to appear at Hylands Park, Chelmsford, Essex and Weston Park, Staffordshire over the weekend of Saturday 22nd & Sunday 23rd August 2015 are Sam Smith, Ellie Goulding, The Script, Hozier, George Ezra, Stereophonics, Paloma Faith, James Bay, Olly Murs, Chvrches, Imelda May, Kodaline, Ella Henderson, Nero, Reverend And The Makers, Courteeners, Marina and the Diamonds, The Proclaimers, Tom Jones, Jess Glynne, Andy C, The Kooks, Gregory Porter, Fuse ODG, Clean Bandit, Duke Dumont, Jessie Ware, Ella Eyre, Hannah Wants, Grandmaster Flash, and Annie Mac, plus many more to be announced across four stages at the two festival sites.
The Glee Club Comedy Tent also returns as the festival’s fifth stage this year, with a line-up that will be announced in the coming months.
Festival Director, Simon Moran commented, "We wanted to champion British talent at this year’s festival and with the likes of Calvin and Kasabian leading the way we don’t think it’ll disappoint. The eclectic mix of established artists and rising stars, with a few more in the pipeline, means that once again there is something for everyone at V Festival.
"It’s incredible to think what V has achieved in two decades. When we started out in ‘96, we were two stages and one tent, with the northern site only hosting one day of acts. Since then we’ve hosted some of the most iconic acts from around the world. Here’s to another decade!"
Full tickets prices have not yet been revealed, expect around £199 for a weekend with camping. Tickets will go on sale at 9am on Friday 6th March, and eFestivals will have links to buy them then.
Make sure any tickets you buy are legitimate. eFestivals always links to official ticket outlets (and doesn't host adverts for unofficial outlets unlike other festival websites!) so you can be sure that any ticket bought via eFestivals will get you into the festival of your choice. Do not purchase tickets from unofficial or secondary ticket outlets or auction sites as they often are unable to supply the tickets, and might not even give you a refund - there's lots of dodgy operators out there!
Festival Director Simon Moran commented, "As in previous years, we want to again emphasise how important it is for fans to buy their tickets from official outlets. This will ensure they don’t miss out on what promises to be a non-stop fun-packed weekend."
