Metronomy to headline Festival No. 6

Metronomy have been unveiled as the final headlining act for this year's Festival No. 6 taking place in Portmeirion, Wales which will be returning for a fourth year in 2015 from Thursday 3rd until Sunday 6th September.

They top the billalongside disco diva Grace Jones and indie pop darlings Belle & Sebastian. Joe Mount of Metronomy said, "After 18 months of touring Love Letters it felt like we needed to find the perfect setting for our final show, I believe we have found it! We can't wait to play at Festival No. 6."

Also added to the line-up are Mark Ronson (DJ set), British Sea Power, Years And Years, and Haelos.

Also confirmed are Catfish & The Bottlemen, Everything Everything, James Bay, Gaz Coombes, Young Fathers, Kate Tempest, Rae Morris, Shura, Stornoway, The Bohicas, FrYars, Badly Drawn Boy, Brythoniad Male Voice Choir, Jane Weaver, King Creosote, Soak, Ghost Culture, Hookworms, LA Priest, Stealing Sheep, Spring King, DJ Greg Wilson, Kermit, Joe Duddell and the No.6 Ensemble, Green Gartside, Drinks (Cate Le Bon & Tim Presley), Duke Garwood, Blind Arcade, Dub Sex, Gwenno, Dream Themes, Blossoms, Arthur Smith sings Leonard Cohen, King Eider, Drohne, James Atkin, The Mostar Diving Club, Yucatan, The Gramotones, Thud Crackle Pop, The Everley Pregnant Brothers, and Piazza House Band Gypsies of Bohemia.

The first DJ line-up includes headliners DJ Harvey, and a UK festival exclusive from The 2 Bears with a live set.

Other confirmed DJs include 808 State, Horse Meat Disco, Futureboogie, Low Life, Welsh House Mafia, Bicep, Motor City Drum Ensemble, Gerd Jansen, Andrew Weatherall, Optimo, Ralph Lawson, Justin Robertson, Maurice Fulton, and Mark E.

Authors and poets include Irvine Welsh in conversation with Justin Robertson, Director Kevin Allen returns with a theatrical version of Under Milk Wood Live, Kate Tempest, Matt Johnson (The The), Maxine Peake, Simon Day, Dom Joly, Stuart Maconie, Edith Bowman, Michel Faber, Owen Sheers, Lalinne Paul, Salena Godden, Luke Wright, Elaine Constantine, John Higgs, John Mitchinson, Chris Difford, and Brix Smith, will also be talking about her time in The Fall with Andrew Weatherall.

Festival director Luke Huxham added, "Metronomy strike a great balance with Grace Jones and Belle & Sebastian, it's the perfect blend of genres and musical textures and more importantly it's going to make for a fantastic party vibe every single day of the festival.

"We're incredibly proud of the line-up this year, one of our best and most diverse musical bills to date with so much more still to be announced across the site ."

On Sunday evening, there will be a special Grace Jones Mirror Ball Parade, from the village up to the main stage for Grace Jones's closing main stage set. Stealing Sheep will also be leading their own 'Mythopoeia' torch lit parade on the Saturday night.

The Woods programme, Castell Gardens and Town Hall Sessions, new venues and Michelin starred-chefs in the coming months, and there's a good chance of festival regulars the Brythoniad Male Voice Choir making an appearance.

Bands, DJs, musicians and string ensembles will be performing across the entire site, from the historic town hall to the Colonnade gardens to the picturesque Bay Stage and the promenade along the sandy beached estuary of the River Dwyryd.

Festival goers can also expect pop up-theatre, intimate readings, film screenings, woodland trails, art installations, comedy performances, pop up woodland raves, The Prisoner reconstructions, and more.

Early bird tickets priced at £170 (for Friday arrival) and £185 for Thursday arrival. A young person (aged 11-15 years) is priced at £80 for Friday arrival, and £90 for Thursday arrival. Children aged 10 years and under can attend for free.
