Latitude announces Ed Harcourt, Adam French, Gareth Malone, & more

More names have been added to the line-up fo Latitude Festival held from Thursday 16th to Sunday 19th July 2015 in the grounds of Henham Park Estate, in Suffolk.

Additions to the music line-up include Ed Harcourt, Adam French, Izzy's Daughter, Superglu, and Frett, plus The Alcove Stage additions Oliver Daldry, C Duncan, Adam French and Cothe Hithe.

In an exclusive festival appearance at Latitude Gareth Malone will be putting together a unique choir of Latitude festival goers. With over 300 entrants, the lucky selected ticket holders will have the opportunity to be part of a 100-strong choir who will rehearse at several points over the weekend, culminating in a Main Stage lunchtime performance on Sunday 19th July. In addition, Gareth and his Voices choir will be performing on the Waterfront Stage on Saturday 18th July.

Whilst new Poetry Arena visitors are Murray Lachlan-Young, Johnathan Edwards, and Patrick Cash.

New additions have been made to the Literary Arena, see Owen Jones is joined by a panel including Georgia Gould and Suzanne Moore to discuss austerity, inequality and aspiration in 'The Politics of Hope'.

New Statesman will present 'Happily Ever After?', an exploration into weddings in literature, from Games of Thrones to Shakespeare, with Kate Mosse Richard Curtis and Dr John Mullan. Medical doctor and neuroscience researcher, Dr Henrietta Bowden-Jones will be in discussion with ‘Reasons to Stay Alive’ author Matt Haig and writer and ‘Nature Cure’ author Richard Mabey.

The Wellcome Trust Hub will be home to the festival's discussions, debates and performances. Joining the line-up is Dr Marius Kwint (University of Portsmouth, Creative & Cultural Industries) in conversation with Arthur I. Miller (Colliding Worlds: How cutting edge science is redefining contemporary art), discussing creativity.

Salon London will be returning to the festival, adding 'Depression: Nature, Nurture & Genetics' with Ruby Wax and Prof Elaine Fox. Prof Barry Smith & Prof Charles Spence will be presenting 'If Music Be The Taste of Wine', chaired by Helen Bagnall. Expect a multi-sensory perception of flavour as they explain how music works in the brain to affect how you taste food and wine.

'Information Overload' will see Prof Carmine Pariante (Kings College London) and Clare Edwards discuss the brain under 21st century stress, and how to deal with it. 'Music, Memory and Alzheimer’s' with Spotify will explore what we know about how we access our memory through music, and the future of our mind, with Dr Catherine Loveday in conversation with Helen Bagnall. Writer Helen Scales will this year be talking about her book, 'Spirals in Time'.

Prof Anil Seth, co-director of the Sackler Centre, will be discussing 'The New Science of Consciousness' - using the tools of science to understand the experience of being you. There will be talks by Senior Lecturer in the Department of Psychology Dr Michael Proulx (University of Bath) and Dr Roi Cohen Kadosh (Oxford University) on Numerical Cognition. Author of Memrise and Remember, Remember: Learn the Stuff You Thought You Never Could, Ed Cooke, will be aboard the 'Membus', hosting sessions on Memory Improvement.

Within the Faraway Forest the Live Art House returns featuring the best in collaborative art and theatre including, Bernie Katz: Prince of Soho and Tempting Failure. The Live Art Development Agency will present Anne Bean, Tim Bromage, Harold Offeh, The Gluts aka Hayley Newman, Kaffe Matthews, Gina Birch and Steakhouse Live.

Latitude offers much more than coloured sheep and music, however and the first of the other entertainments of art which will include film, comedy, theatre, cabaret, dance, poetry, and literature have been revealed too.

An adult weekend ticket is priced at £192.50 with a Family Camping option also available, a teen weekend ticket is priced at £132.50, with a weekend ticket for all children aged 5 -12 years priced at £8. Campervan permits are priced at £39.50, and mobilehome and caravan passes are priced at £59.50, Day tickets are not yet on sale.

Tickets can also be paid for in instalments, and secured with a first payment of £50.
