Last night at Glastonbury Festival a crowd pleasing set, as a glowing sky darkened, from The Who brought the curtain down on the main stages before revellers squeezed the last night of festivalling out of the event for another year.
Earlier in the day Lionel Richie brought the party to life with a huge singalong with one of the largest crowds of the weekend. Revellers were also delighted by terrific sets from Steel Pulse, Songhoy Blues, Patti Smith & her band with added Lama, Future Islands, and many more.
Where ever you chose to spend your final hours, headlining sets from The Chemical Brothers at the top of thrir game with possibly the show of the weekend, Flying Lotus, FFS (Franz Ferdinand & Sparks), Slamboree, Ryan Adams, and more all left crowds happy and thirsting for more.
Whether they then headed for the naughty corner, a small venue wrap up party, the campsites, or the Arcadia spider for a memorable show of flame, lasers and big hitters from 2manydjs, and Altern8 it was a perfect end to a wonderfully varied five days of quality entertainment.
Incredibly the standard just continues to improve, from the organisers, to the volunteers, the staff, crews, those who created and inspired, and the terrific performances of a high standard of acts all across the site. This was a weekend to make everyone happy, and the Dalai Lama would certainly approve of that.
It's been another fantastic weekend, we'll be bringing you our full review and hundreds of photographs once we've had a chance to sort through them all.
If you want a ticket to next year's Festival, remember you will first need to register, and then look out for ticket details later this year. The dates for next year have not yet been announced.
