Latitude 2015
Thursday 16th to Sunday 19th July 2015Henham Park Estate, Beccles, Suffolk, NR34 8AN, England MAP
£192.50 weekend adult ticket, plus booking fees
Latitude headliners, Alt-J, have teamed up with international charity ActionAid on a limited-edition T-shirt to be sold exclusively at this weekend's Latitude Festival held from Thursday 16th to Sunday 19th July 2015 in the grounds of Henham Park Estate, in Suffolk.
All proceeds from sales of the T-shirt will support ActionAid’s crucial and on-going work in Nepal, helping people in the country rebuild their lives following two devastating earthquakes earlier this year.
Thom Green, the band’s drummer, has been an ActionAid supporter since he was 18 and sponsors a child with the charity. The band said, “When we were asked to collaborate with ActionAid on this T-shirt it was a no-brainer – we immediately said 'yes'. We’ve been big fans for years and getting to work together and raise money for a cause we really believe in, at Latitude, makes perfect sense – buy the T-shirt!"
The limited edition T-shirt will be sold exclusively at Latitude festival; available to buy for £20 at the merchandise stalls and at the ActionAid tent, who will be making their first appearance at the festival.
The T-shirt design is inspired by the prayer flags synonymous with Nepal and incorporates alt-J’s distinctive visual style too – the triangle and the painterly style taken from their latest album – This Is All Yours – released in 2014.
ActionAid’s local staff in Nepal reached over 92,000 people with food, water, medicines and shelter in the first critical weeks of the devastating earthquakes and are now working with communities on their long-term recovery.
ActionAid has been working in Nepal for over 30 years and was able to respond fast to reach those in greatest need.
