Organisers of Festival No. 6 taking place in Portmeirion, Wales have revealed it will be returning for a fifth year in 2016 from Thursday 1st until Sunday 4th September 2016.
Early bird tickets went on sale from midday today, Thursday 17th September, priced at £170 (for Friday arrival) and £180 for Thursday arrival. A young person (aged 11-15 years) is priced at £110 for Friday arrival, and £120 for Thursday arrival. Children aged 10 years and under can attend for free. Non camping options are also available. Prices do not include booking fees.
The festival is famed for it's quirky setting - the location for the cult 60's TV series The Prisoner, hence the name being a reference to the show.
Portmeirion was constructed between 1925 and 1975 byarchitect Sir Clough Williams-Ellis and the village is a bizarre and elaborate interpretation of a Mediterranean villa.
Bands, DJs, musicians and string ensembles will be performing across the entire site, from the historic town hall to the Colonnade gardens to the picturesque Bay Stage and the promenade along the sandy beached estuary of the River Dwyryd.
Festival goers can also expect comedy, poetry, pop up-theatre, intimate readings, film screenings, woodland trails, art installations, pop up woodland raves, lectures and discussions, unique collaborations, the voices of a male voice choir, processions, The Prisoner reconstructions, and more.
