After a year out LeeFest has announced it will return to celebrate 10 years and is moving to a new and larger site secret location in Kent from Friday 28th until Sunday 30th July 2016.

This non-profit music festival started as a community of 150 young people in a back garden. The festival has now grown to 2,000 people in a field with the same vibe retained.

Although being centred around young people the festival is targeted at an audience of all ages and offers opportunities for unsigned artists to play alongside seasoned professionals.

There are no acts confirmed yet for 2016. LeeFest has hosted some new music discoveries in the past including London Grammar, Bastille, Public Service Broadcasting and Young Fathers in early years. Organisers say that 2016 will celebrate the evolution of the festival, mixing past finds with some new ideas.

Lee Denny, organiser of that party in the back garden and founder of the festival, said. "We've been crafting LeeFest for 10 years now, and we're about to embark on our next adventure! We're moving to a new venue, taking the best bits from our past and throwing in some new ideas to create something really special. A new era begins! It will be LeeFest as you know it with some big secrets that we're holding onto for now."

A limited amount of super-early bird tickets, priced at £70 for the weekend, go on-sale tomorrow (Thursday 12th) at 9AM and we will have links to buy them here then.

LeeFest exists on the belief that a festival should be about bringing a community of people together to celebrate the best musicians and artists of the moment and to construct an environment of unbounded creativity. A far cry from the profiteering of some larger festivals, LeeFest is entirely run by volunteers, ensuring that all its revenue is used to build the event and support local charities.
