Gojira will be the Saturday special guests at next year's Bloodstock Open Air.

Gojira frontman Joe Duplantier said, "Bloodstock is one of our favourite festivals in the UK! The quality of the bands playing is always a high standard and we love the passion of the people who come to rock out! It’s an honour to be a part of it again."

Also confirmed as making their only UK appearance next year are Norwegians Satyricon performing their album 'Nemesis Devina' in full on Sunday for it's 20th anniversary, and Anthrax will be stepping into Sunday';s special guest slot.

They will be joined over the weekend from Thursday 11th until Sunday 14th August 2016 again at Catton Hall, Walton-on-Trent, in South Derbyshireon Saturday by two confirmed headliners Twisted Sister, and Mastodon, plus Rotting Christ, Paradise Lost, Dragonforce, Behemoth, and Venom. There are many more acts and another headliner still to be announced.

As well as the international heavy metal bands across four stages, Bloodstock will offer a large selection of merchandise stalls, metal karaoke, a campsite and a wide selection of food and bars.

Early bird tickets are priced at £120 for adults with camping (+ booking fees), and car parking is priced at £16, child (aged 4 - 11 years) tickets are priced at £35. Campervan pitches are also already on sale priced at £55, parking is £16, day tickets and VIP options are expected to be on sale at a later date.
