Kathryn Roberts And Sean Lakeman, Emily Portman Trio will be joining the previously announced Martin Carthy as headliners of the community led Folk Weekend returns for a sixth year from Friday 15th until Sunday 17th April 2016 and will be based again at the Old Fire Station, with additional events in other venues throughout the city centre.

Also confirmed are Coope, Boyes & Simpson, Rachel Newton, Hannah James' Jigdoll, Megson, Simon Care Trio, Tobias Jacob & Lukas Drinkwalker, and Count Drachma, with more acts to be confirmed for 2016.

There will also be display dance and morris sides, concerts and performances, a host of free song and music events, a huge ceilidh, and plenty of informal music sessions around the town - some programmed, some not! There will be details and a map of session pubs in the printed programme.

Early bird tickets are priced at £52 for weekend (£49 concessions).

Expect a return of crafts workshops, a Children’s Festival, storytelling, singing workshops, Morris dancing workshops, a family ceilidh.
