Jess Glynne has been confirmed as headliner for Splendour, Nottingham's annual family friendly music festival, which returns for its ninth year to Wollaton Park on Saturday 23rd July 2016.
The British singer-songwriter has been booked for the Wollaton Park Festival in July hot on the heels of a US, European and UK headline tour promoting her no1. double platinum album.
Owner and festival booker George Akins, DHP Family, said: "We're delighted to announce Jess is to headline Splendour this year. With her UK tour completely sold out already, it's good news for the fans who were disappointed after she was forced to pull out last year to undergo vocal cord surgery. Those who got to see her play a very well received sell out show at Rock City last November will be delighted to see her return to the city once again."
Set in the stunning grounds of Wollaton Hall, the festival has grown to become one of the region's biggest music events, attracting around 20,000 people of all ages. Recognised as the city's biggest summer day out, organisers have released the tickets earlier in anticipation of a demand for tickets purchased as Christmas gifts.
Splendour feature three live music stages, a comedy stage, special entertainment for children, bars, food stalls, fairground rides, kids are and more.
Children under 11 will once again be admitted free, and City Card discounts are also in place for Nottingham residents. Tickets are priced at £45, and £35 if a City Card discount is applied. Additional discounts for young people aged 11-17 apply with City Card holder tickets priced at £20 while tickets for young people with a County Card are £35. VIP packages are also available.
There's no camping - the deer won't have it.
