22 acts have been confirmed for this summer's 10th annual Indietracks Festival, led by St Etienne, The Aislers Set, and The Spook School.
This year is the tenth anniversary of the festival, which started in April 2007 as a one-night event.
The other bands added to the bill today are Shopping, Expert Alterations, Flowers, Seazoo, Po!, Chrissy Barnacle, Ay, Carmela, City Yelps, Soda Fountain Rag, Charla Fantasma, Vacaciones, Songs For Walter, Two White Cranes, Falling & Laughing, Maggie8, Lorna, Pete Green, The Charlie Tipper Conspiracy, and Prizefighter. Dozens more artists will be added to the bill shortly.
Around 50 indiepop bands from across the globe will be playing across four stages at Indietracks: the outdoor stage; the indoor stage, the church and on the steam trains themselves. The festival will also host a range of art and craft workshops and a selection of discos after the bands finish.
Indietracks festival takes place at the Midland Railway Butterley (a heritage railway located in Ripley), in the heart of the Derbyshire countryside from Friday 29th until Sunday 31st July.
The site houses a whole range of lovingly restored steam diesels and locomotives. Festival goers are allowed to have unlimited rides on the steam railway over the weekend and full access to other railway attractions including a farm and museum.
Tickets are now available at an early bird discount price of £72 (weekend) and £39 (day). These cheaper prices are available until 9pm on Sunday 15 May. After this date, prices will be £79 (weekend) and £41 (day). Weekend tickets for children aged 5-15 are £10, or £6 for a day ticket. Children under 5 get in free.
