Magic Door, Psychemagik’s Magik Forest, Leftfoot, Horse Meat Disco, Craig Charles, Swingamajig's Speakeasy, This Is Tmrw, and Modulate plus many more to be announced will appear at the The Lunar Festival's Late Night Sounds.
As soon as the sun starts to set over the magical Lunar site, a transformation takes place going from the guitar-driven sounds during of the day and evening, to a beats and bass soundscape in partnership with UK club nights and DJs.
Other recent additions to the daytime line-up include Stealing Sheep, Khruangbin, Chartreuse, The Mothers Earth Experiment, Boat To Row, Rhino & The Ranters, Black Mekon, Sunshine Frisbee Laserbeam, Flamingo Flame, and Swampmeat.
The sister event to Moseley Folk & Mostly Jazz Funk & Soul returns for a 3rd edition to the home of Nick Drake, and takes place at Umberslade Estate, Tanworth in Arden, Warwickshire, from Friday 3rd to Sunday 5th June 2016.
They join Super Furry Animals, Mercury Rev, Television, Badly Drawn Boy, The Zombies, Os Mutantes, Matt Berry and The Maypoles, Bentley Rhythm Ace, Ibibio Sound Machine, Stealing Sheep, Bill Ryder Jones, Amber Arcades, Paradise Bangkok Molam International Band, Martin Carthy, Alessi’s Ark, Khruangbin, The Mariachi’s, Josefin Ohrn + The Liberation, Victories At Sea, Stick In The Wheel, Ashley Hutchings, Seeland, Flamingods, Chartreuse, The Mothers Earth Experiment, Boat To Row, Rhino & The Ranters, Black Mekon, Sunshine Frisbee Laserbeam, Flamingo Flame, Swampmeat, The Good Water, and festival regular Nick Drake's Record Player. An adult weekend camping ticket is priced at £119, day tickets are priced at £48. A kids (12-15 years) ticket with camping tickets is priced at £45, and a day ticket is priced at £21 for Friday, Saturday or Sunday. A ticket for children (aged 2-11 years) is priced at £5. A live in vehicle pass is priced from £64 depending upon size. Prices include booking fees.
During the day there is a full programme of activities to keep the whole family entertained including Green crafts, Daily Yoga, Cinema Club, Sausage making workshop, Circus skills workshops, Guerilla knitting, Yoghurt weaving and Cabaret whilst the Umberslade farm will also be free for families to use.
At night the festival will change its focus to the various pop up mini-nightclubs whilst the main bar will become center stage for household DJ's to keep the party going into the early hours.
The Lunar Festival will also offer local ales and food with plenty of variety to make sure everyone camping is well watered and fed.
