Alternative Stage line-up announced for Reading & Leeds Festivals

Bill Bailey, Russell Howard, Marcus Brigstocke, Katherine Ryan, Russell Kane, and Lee Nelson lead the line-up of acts announced for the Alternative Stage at Reading and Leeds Festivals.

The Alternative Stage will also host political commentator Owen Jones who will be in conversation with Andy Parsons, plus performances from The Boy With Tape On His Face, Andrew Maxwell, Sara Pascoe, Holly Walsh, Joel Dommett, Mark Steel, Carl Donnelly (Leeds only), John Robins, Tom Deacon (Reading only), Daniel Simonsen, Dane Baptiste, Al Porter, Angela Barnes, Lloyd Griffith (Reading only), Lauren Pattison (Leeds only), Jamali Maddix, Mark Grist, Mystry, Anthony Anaxagorou, and Alternative Stage MC’s David Morgan, Iain Stirling, Dan Nightingale (Leeds only),and Ian Boldsworth (Reading only).

At Leeds the Alternative Stage will also play host to a special appearance from the US hip-hop icon Grandmaster Flash, who will be joined by DJ Yoda, Rave Karaoke, and Nightmares From The Discotheque.

Indie club night Propaganda return with special guest appearances from This Is England’s Thomas Turgoose (DJ set) , DJ Dan, and more plus both Buttoned Down Disco, and Hot Dub Time Machine come to Reading & Leeds this summer.

With the previously announced Kurupt FM Presents Champagne Steam Rooms and Cassetteboy vs DJ Rubbish also taking to the stage over the weekend.

Biffy Clyro are one of five headliners playing across the August Bank Holiday alongside Red Hot Chili Peppers, Foals, Disclosure and Fall Out Boy. Reading Festival takes place at Little Johns Farm, Richfield Avenue, Reading, Berkshire, and Leeds Festival takes place at Bramham Park, Leeds, West Yorkshire with both events happening over the weekend of Thursday 25th to Sunday 28th August 2016.

Weekend tickets are priced at £205. A Wednesday early entry permit is priced at £20 (sold out at Reading), a campervan pass is £75, and a locker is priced at £16, and a car park pass is for Reading is priced at £10. Prices do not include booking fees.

Day tickets are priced at £59.50, Saturday day tickets at Reading have sold out.

Children under 13 (12 and under) are admitted free but MUST be accompanied by a ticket holding adult. Please note there is no separate children's area at this event, and eFestivals considers this an event not really suitable for small children.
