Jarvis Cocker, the Pulp frontman will be DJing at the dodgems this year in a rare and exclusive appearance at By The Sea Weekender taking place in the newly-refurbished Ballroom, in Dreamland Margate, an amusement park located in Margate, Kent, and held on Friday 30th September and Saturday 1st October 2016.
Also announced are intimate acoustic sets in Margate Museum with Alexis Taylor, Slow Club, Emmy the Great, Serafina Steer, and Barbarossa.
Friday headliners Super Furry Animals, and Wild Beasts, whilst Wolf Alice, and Bat For Lashes headline Saturday night, plus Mystery Jets, Jagwar Ma, Joe Goddard (Hot Chip), Ibibio Sound Machine, Anna Meredith, Let.s Eat Grandma, The Big Moon, Bill Ryder Jones, Eagulls, Kagoule, Gang, Our Girl, Fuoco, Ray Gun, Dreamweaver, Meilyr Jones, Dreller, and Sink The Pink Ballroom Takeover.
Elsewhere in Margate's Old Town, Eagulls, Kagoule, Gang, Our Girl, Dreamweaver, Fuoco, and Ray Gun are joined by Happy Meal Ltd., and Girl Ray at Olby's Soul Cafe on Sunday 2nd October from 1.30pm - midnight for a special By The Sea fringe showcase in association with Art's Cool.

Plus, this year By The Sea are running a competition for local bands to be in with a chance of winning a slot on the bill for this year's festival. Entries are being accepted from now until 10th August. Once submissions are closed, all artists that have signed up will be entered into a public poll, and the band with the most votes will be added to the line up.
The early bird offer has ended. Weekend tickets are priced at £67.50
Day tickets priced at £37.50 will go on sale at 9am Friday 27th May, with very limited £30 early-bird tickets available from 9am Thursday 26th May.
Tickets include full access to Dreamland theme park across day & night, and unlimited rides including: Scenic Railway, Big Top, Helter Skelter, Hurricane Jets, Dodgems (with DJs), Monotopia, and many more.
Plus there's a Vintage Arcade Room, Independent Label Market, Margate Museum Acoustic Sets, Fringe Programme through Margate Old Town, after-parties and other late night take-overs + more still to be announced.
This a non-camping event.
